The Ravens may have won, but no doubt their sixth overall pick did not produce in a positive light against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Unfortunately he was ranked 4th worst according to profootballfocus.
4. Ronnie Stanley, T, Baltimore Ravens
Stanley’s excellent preseason performance is being overshadowed by the struggles he has had in the regular season, and his return from injury did not go well in the slightest in Baltimore’s win over Pittsburgh. He allowed a sack, hit and three hurries on 41 pass-blocking snaps, and if anything, those numbers flattered his performance, because he was also flagged three times and beaten in the run game
The article is quick to mention what we all are thinking, he’s coming back from injury. Out five weeks and the first player he’s battling against is a pissed off James Harrison. Quite possibly the strongest outside linebacker in the game and the biggest knock on Stanley in the draft was his strength. Not a fun challenge when coming back from a foot injury.
There shouldn’t be worries of Stanley for the future, but the short term leaves him on short rest against the Cleveland Browns. Hopefully Ronnie can rejuvenate quickly and then receive ten hearty days of rest before the Cowboys matchup on November 20.
