Kenneth Dixon suffers chest contusion

NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

Ravens rookie running back Kenneth Dixon has had his share of setbacks in the 2016 season. Dixon missed a few days at the beginning of training camp, and an injury against the Lions in the third game of the preseason kept Dixon out for the first four weeks of the regular season.

He may be in line to miss time yet again.

The Ravens official Twitter account reported that Dixon suffered a chest confusion in the fourth quarter against the Steelers. His return to the game was listed as “questionable”. Dixon did not return to the game. Though he was not needed, he still may have been useful in running down the final minutes against the Steelers.

If Dixon is to miss any extended time, Javorius “Buck” Allen will be in line to see a larger role. However, it would seem more likely that Terrance West would gain a near monopoly of the backfield if Dixon is absent.
