Over the last couple of days, the Baltimore Ravens have received some good news on the injury front with guys like outside linebacker Terrell Suggs, offensive linemen in Marshal Yanda and Ronnie Stanley being full paricipants in practice in preparation for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Today, Ravens inside linebacker C.J. Mosley and wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. were full participants in practice today and both are listed as questionable for Sunday. Both Mosley and Smith suffered injuries in the team’s week 5 loss against the Washington Redskins as Mosley suffered a hamstring injury and Smith suffered an ankle injury.
Between Mosley and Smith, according to Garrett Downing of BaltimoreRavens.com, Mosley is more ready to return against the Steelers which is a big boost for the Ravens defense. Mosley currently leads the team with three interceptions and is tied for third in the NFL in the same category.
With Smith, you have to wonder if the Ravens are performing some gamesmanship against the Steelers because usually being a full participant on Fridays is good sign that a player will play soon after. But it doesn’t sound like he will play. However, in this case since it is Smith who is a fiery competitor, he may try and stretch it to see if he can really play this week.
