The Baltimore Ravens earned an important 19-14 victory in Week 12. The game flow was not pretty, but the Ravens were effective. Now tied for first place in the AFC North, the Ravens record is 6-5 and undefeated in the division.
The winners and losers from Week 12:
Winners:
K Justin Tucker:
Perfect from 52-yards out. Perfect from 57-yards out. Perfect from 54-yards out. Perfect from 36-yards out. Perfect on extra points. Knocked a kickoff through the uprights. Perfect on the season.
OLB Elvis Dumervil:
Making an unexpected return from a foot injury that has hampered him the entire season, Dumervil recovered second quarter fumble, supplied a handful of pressures throughout the game and produced a strip sack that halted the Bengals final scoring opportunity.
HC John Harbaugh:
Got the tiger off his back, in large part due to his emphasis on the special teams units. Harbs made several wise decisions, including challenging a spot that resulted in a Cincinnati punt, going for it on fourth down early in the fourth quarter and a clever decision to kill the clock on a punter scramble.
OLB Terrell Suggs:
Generated a pair of sacks and two forced fumbles. The 34-year old probable Hall of Famer has posted some of the best games of his career against elite left tackles Andrew Whitworth and Joe Thomas while playing through a torn bicep in recent weeks.
Loser:
LB Vontaze Burfict
Known headhunter took a dive to draw a cheap penalty against Steve Smith Sr. Not a good look for this alleged ‘tough guy’. Also played a role in allowing Ravens running backs to combine for more than 160 total yards.
