Ravens WR Steve Smith Sr. has no regard for human life

NFL: Oakland Raiders at Baltimore Ravens Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. is likely headed to Canton Ohio’s Pro Football Hall of Fame for his spectacular exploits on the gridiron.

However, there could likely be a second hall of fame set up just to encapsulate some of the outrageous and wildly entertaining diss quotes that the diminutive receiver has dished out over the years.

Cornerbacks such as Aqib Talib are famous for their brushes with Smith Sr., but 2016 has been a season in which rookie cornerbacks have been exposed to the Smitty experience. That experience of playing across from Agent 89 have been met with less than warm reception from players such as Jaguars rookie corner Jalen Ramsey, and now Cowboys slot defender Anthony Brown.

Back in September, Smith put Ramsey in his place with the all-time one-liner “I’ve got cleats with stronger thread than you.” Now, after hearing some of Brown’s comments about the how the defensive back doesn’t have any respect for Smith after being exposed to his relentless trash talk, Smith was again ready to put the young man in his place.

The barb is yet another reason for any corner that decides to mouth off against Smith to refer to the famous Omar Little quote: “If you come at the King, you best not miss.”
