The Baltimore Ravens have released its list of inactive’s for today’s game against the Dallas Cowboys and the Ravens are going to miss a key player in the secondary.
INACTIVES vs. Dallas:
— Baltimore Ravens (@Ravens) November 20, 2016
Jimmy Smith
Asa Jackson
Lorenzo Taliaferro
Elvis Dumervil
Ryan Jensen
Alex Lewis
Crockett Gillmore
Jimmy Smith has had a Pro Bowl caliber season so far and the Ravens fifth ranked pass defense is going to miss him as the secondary gets ready for Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant and tight end Jason Witten. Smith has been dealing with back issues all week and it was originally expected that he would play today but the Ravens have other plans.
Per PFF, Jimmy Smith has held opposing WRs to under 50 yards in 7-of-8 full games. OBJ torched BAL (8/222/2) when Smith left Week 6 early.

Ravens outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil is out once again due to a foot injury. Dumervil has missed seven out of the nine games the Ravens have played this year with his last appearance in the field occurring in week 5 against the Washington Redskins. Despite being inactive, Dumervil did state earlier this week that he felt better so he may be nearing a return to the field sooner than we think.
Ravens tight end Crockett Gillmore is going to miss a third game this month due to a thigh injury and the Ravens have missed him in the run blocking department as Dennis Pitta primarily has struggled.
On the positive side, Ravens right guard Marshal Yanda is active as he has been dealing with a shoulder injury. Yanda did not play in week 10 against the Cleveland Browns and the Ravens offensive line is definitely going to need him as left guard Alex Lewis is out for multiple weeks due to a high ankle sprain.
