While Wednesday’s injury report was fairly clean for the Baltimore Ravens, the same cannot be said for Thursday.
G/T Alex Lewis (ankle) and TE Crockett Gillmore (thigh) did not practice on Thursday, which comes as no surprise to many. However CB Jimmy Smith (back) missed another day of practice with a back injury. According to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley, coach John Harbaugh did not seem too concerned about Smith missing Wednesday’s practice. However, without seeing Smith on the field Thursday, the coaching staff may be, and should be concerned. If Smith cannot practice Friday, is chance of playing Sunday seem slim to none.
New additions to the non-participation list include LB Terrell Suggs (non injury related), C Jeremy Zuttah (non injury related), DT Timmy Jernigan (shoulder), and RB Lorenzo Taliaferro (thigh).
Suggs and Zuttah are not concerning as their absence is likely tied to purely getting a day off, per Edward Lee of the Baltimore Sun. Both will likely be full-go’s on Sunday.
Taliaferro was a limited participant on Wednesday, but was downgraded to a participant on Thursday, his status seems unclear for Sunday.
Fortunately, LB C.J. Mosley (thigh) moved from a limited participant, to a full participant on Thursday. Yesterday’s full participants, LB Elvis Dumervil (foot), LB Kamalei Correa (thigh), G Marshall Yanda (shoulder), and CB Shareece Wright (thigh), all remained on the injury report as full participants.
