Against the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore scored multiple red zone touchdowns. On two of those, they watched as two lineman took to the turf. It was a terrible trade-off.
Not just at first glance, but after two replays of the Lewis injury it felt all but certain we wouldn’t see #72 back on the field this season. His ankle buckles at a rate far from normal. He received a vacuum cast on the field and then rode a cart back to the locker room. The Ravens, already thin at guard, lose another great person and great player.
Not hours later, the Baltimore Ravens and their writing staff posted an update.
LG Alex Lewis X-rays are NEGATIVE, but he's out for the game. Good news.

Great news, as this was by far the best possible outcome. Though we won’t be seeing Alex Lewis for awhile, his health down the road is important.
After the game Harbaugh addressed the media, reporting Lewis did not break his ankle.
LG Alex Lewis does not have a broken ankle, per Coach Harbaugh.
