Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil missed last week’s game against the New York Giants due to a foot injury that has been bothering him for quite some time and there is no timetable his return as of now according to BaltimoreRavens.com. Dumervil missed the first three games of the 2016 regular season but played in week 4 and week 5 before sitting out last week.

According to Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, Dumervil has to get his foot right before he can play again as discussed via BaltimoreRavens.com.

“It is a strength issue in his foot and his ankle. It has to be right. “[T]hat explosiveness really wasn’t there. He wasn’t able to get into a tackle and really push like he needs to.”

The Ravens really need his services right now as outside linebacker Terrell Suggs is dealing with a torn biceps injury and it is unlikely that Suggs will play this week against the New York Jets. The Ravens are currently tied for 19th in the NFL in sacks with 11 and Suggs has five of them by himself. To say that the Ravens are in trouble in the pass rush department would be an understatement.

Ravens defensive coordinator Dean Pees is going to have to dial up some creative pressure with blitzes to offset the absence of Suggs and Dumervil.
