Baltimore Ravens inactive’s vs. Oakland Raiders

The Baltimore Ravens have released its report of inactive players for today’s game against the Oakland Raiders and there are quite a few big names who will be sitting out.

Ravens rookie left tackle Ronnie Stanley will miss his first game of his NFL career as he is currently dealing with a foot injury. Stanley didn’t practice all week in preparation for the Raiders and was listed as doubtful on Friday. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said earlier in the week not to rule Stanley out, but he will not play today.

Stanley’s absence leaves backup left tackle James Hurst as the start to protect quarterback Joe Flacco and his blindside. Hurst has struggled in pass protection in the past and one would hope that Ravens offensive coordinator Mark Trestman helps Hurst by providing a tight end on the left side to help chip incoming pass rushers.

Ravens running back Justin Forsett is inactive today due to performance which means that second year running back Buck Allen will see action for the first time this season. The Ravens hope that Allen can provide a big boost in the running game today against a Raiders defense that ranks 30th in the NFL against the run.

Rookie outside linebacker Matt Judon is inactive today despite having a pretty good showing in the Ravens first three games. In exchange, Pro Bowl outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil will play for the first time this season as he has been dealing with a foot injury and he couldn’t be active at a better time as the Ravens go up against Raiders quarterback Derek Carr who is known to throw the ball all over the field.
