Last Sunday featured yet another Ravens squad with injury problems. Both starting tackles were out from injury, and featured instead a fourth round rookie at left tackle and guard Marshal Yanda playing right tackle. Today the Ravens help to bring another lineman to ensure Flacco’s protection with the signing of Vladimir Ducasse.
This move is strange, with Ducasse being another guard. The Ravens lost two tackles, which you think would translate into the search for another tackle. One would be curious of their efforts to sign tackle Jake Long, but he went in a different purple direction early this morning, signing with the Minnesota Vikings.
Hopefully the move to sign Ducasse is out of confidence both Rick Wagner and Ronnie Stanley will be healthy enough to play down the stretch. Alex Lewis held his own, but we all know that is one player away from James Hurst ‘blocking’ for Joe.
The Ravens aren’t doing so well in the health department in regards to the secondary yet again. Jeff Zrebiec points out:
Ravens already have five DBs on injured reserve. Seems like the position every year where they can't keep guys healthy.

CB Sheldon Price is going to injured reserve after suffering a biceps injury. The injury occured when he filled in for CB Shareece Wright on Sunday.
It’s getting old watching corner after corner incapable of producing a full season of play. Hopefully Baltimore can keep the starters healthy, and push towards a more successful end of season.
