Brandon Williams is coming off a breakout season in which he replaced defensive lineman Haloti Ngata, who the Ravens traded to the Detroit Lions because he wouldn't restructure his contract or take a cap friendly extension that would knock down his $16 million cap hit for 2015. Williams had flashes of brilliance, much like the diamond he has on his lady's finger back in 2014 when he was a rotational player and took over some time for Ngata during his suspension at the end of the regular season.

Originally taken in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft, the nose tackle was snubbed for a Pro Bowl berth this season as he was arguably the top nose tackle or defensive tackle in football and one of the top defensive linemen in the game. A run-stuffer, Williams also got after the quarterback nothing two sacks, a forced fumble, and even two passes defensed.

Going into his fourth year in 2016, the Ravens will likely try and get Williams under a long-term contract if possible so that he can't test free agency. If he is allowed to hit the market, he will almost assuredly be yet another Ravens player that will see massive money from a few teams in need for a dominant defensive lineman to build around. General manager Ozzie Newsome has let some of the more productive players leave through free agency due to a tight salary cap situation, but he has always made room for young players that truly deserve to stick around Baltimore for a couple more years, and Brandon Williams fits that description for sure.

Once again, congratulations to both Brandon and Alyssa. It's a great start to the long off-season for the two and hopefully a sign to come for the Ravens players getting their own rings in 2016.
