The game was a boring defensive slugfest until A.J. McCarron finally received adequate protection and flung a fastball right to his tight end Tyler Eifert. The perfectly-placed pass weaved between cornerbacks Lardarius Webb and Jimmy Smith, and found the hands of Eifert in the end zone.
The throw resulted in the first score of the game, and it was the first Bengals' offensive possession that didn't result in a punt.
