2016 NFL Playoffs: Chiefs vs Patriots over/under and game odds

The Kansas City Chiefs face their toughest test yet in the New England Patriots. While the Patriots aren't all that scary on paper with numerous injuries, they are battle tested in the playoffs unlike the Chiefs and come with a coach and quarterback that know how to get it done in the postseason. If the Chiefs want to get to the Super Bowl, the Patriots look like the last team standing in their way.

Teaming up with our friends over at Bookmaker, we know the gametime line and over/under for Saturday's battle. They've even given us some of their analysis on why the lines are like they are.

Chiefs at Patriots (-4.5, 43)

The common betting divide with the sharps on Kansas City, again, and the squares on New England. This spread is tight and it’s fluctuated from -5 to -4.5 a handful of times. It’s a tough game to predict in my opinion. It feels like either the Chiefs win this thing outright or the Patriots blow them out. The total is the real story with this wagering action. We opened at 45.5 and were as low as 41.5 at one point. That’s huge movement for a playoff total. There was a lot of smart money on the under initially and some of those bettors have bought back a bit.

Can the Chiefs secondary including Eric Berry and Marcus Peters pick off quarterback Tom Brady and take control of this game? Or will the Patriots machine keep chugging on towards another Super Bowl?
