The Baltimore Ravens aren't in the playoffs in one of the rarer postseasons, but that doesn't mean you aren't watching and staying interested. Yesterday, I gave you the list of reasons why you should root for and against all of the AFC Wild Card teams. Today, I'm giving you reasons to root for or against the NFC Wild Cards.
Seattle Seahawks
Reasons to root for:
They have one of the best defenses in the NFL, so if you're a fan of defense, this is one of the teams your rooting for. Russell Wilson isn't too bad of a guy either.
Reasons to root against:
You don't like the loudmouthed Legion of Boom. Especially Richard Sherman. Or the 12th Man. And Russell Wilson is sort of weird.
Minnesota Vikings
Reasons to root for:
If you like old-fashioned football with a run focused offense and a smothering defense this team is for you. The Vikings have one of the best defenses in the NFL and the NFL's rushing leader in Adrian Peterson.
Reasons to root against:
If you like passing football, this team isn't for you. Teddy Bridgewater has thrown only 14 touchdowns during the regular season, the third fewest among all starting QBs in the playoffs. Also you might feel uncomfortable rooting for Adrian Peterson.
Green Bay Packers
Reasons to root for:
You're a fan of Aaron Rodgers. You appreciate the history of the Green Bay Packers franchise.
Reasons to root against:
You aren't a fan of all the hype around Aaron Rodgers or the Green Bay Packers.
Washington Redskins
Reasons to root for:
If you're not a fan of RG3, it would be extremely amusing to watch Kirk Cousins lead the Redskins on a playoff run while RG3 is on the bench.
Reasons to root against:
Rooting for the Redskins means that you're rooting for Dan Snyder to succeed. Also "You Like That" might annoy you.
There you have it. Reasons to root for or against each team on Sunday. Remember folks, it's not about who you like the most, it's who you dislike the least.
