Ravens - Falcons: 5 things to look for

We're almost to football folks

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

With this game being without the starters I understand this game for most will be on the boring side. No Yanda, no Flacco, no Suggs. It'll be less exciting for Ravens fans but nonetheless this game is the final chance for the young kids, and some, the future of this franchise, to stay with the Baltimore Ravens final 53 man roster. With this being said the five things to pay attention to!

Secondary Issues:

The Ravens have looked... last season with the secondary so far this pre-season. Watch for somebody to stick out, or better yet stay quiet. The Ravens haven't proved interceptions are the strong suit for the game. Watch one corner proving himself by not giving up receptions, touchdowns, or run coverage tackles.

Punt & Kick Returns:

Still nothing is surefire in this position. Asa Jackson, Michael Campanaro, and Lardarius Webb have been the front runners on the mix. I expect to see Asa & Michael to finish battling it out, assuming Campanaro is healed up from his last injury.

Defensive Line Depth

The Ravens have seen multiple starters on the D-line hobble off the field, watching the talent level of the back-up trench warriors will be important. Injuries happen, especially to the big fellas, so seeing back-ups and depth players on the line will be key this season.

Raven Receivers

This is the last chance to prove their worth on the team. Players like Tom Nelson, Marlon Brown, and Jeremy Butler to prove they are worth the 53 man selection process.

Baltimore's Backs

Terrence Magee, Javorious Allen, Fitzgerald Toussaint. These three are scrapping against one another for the final pre-season game. All three knowing somebody has to go, and this evening they will be doing everything in their power to prove it shouldn't be them.
