Ravens sending scouts out to Arizona for USC vs. ASU game

Preparation for next year's draft begins early, and it starts with the Ravens' best and brightest examining these young players.

When the USC Trojans face off against the Arizona State Sun Devils in what is one of today's marquee games, the Ravens will be watching from above. In the skybox will be some of the Ravens best and brightest, as they intently scout out these promising prospects.

Per NFL.com's CFB 24/7, the Ravens will be one of ten NFL teams in attendance tonight at Arizona State's Sun Devil Stadium. These teams will have their eyes on players like QB Cody Kessler, and LB Su'a Cravens.

According to CFB 24/7, these are the top prospects in tonight's game.

  • USC (QB Cody Kessler, DB Su'a Cravens, WR JuJu Smith-Schuster);
  • Arizona State (WR D.J. Foster, QB Mike Bercovici, DB Jordan Simone)
While I don't know much about college football, the pundits say there are some intriguing players in this matchup.

"Cravens, a linebacker with safety-like speed and coverage skills, has the task of staying with Foster, the Sun Devils' athletic playmaker who can catch the ball as a receiver or carry it out of the backfield. Scouts will have a lot of prospects to keep an eye on in this game, but those two could reveal some intel about one another."
The most notable alumnus from these two schools that played for the Ravens is of course Terrell Suggs, a Sun Devil from 2000 to 2002. This year, the Ravens selected former Trojan running back Javorius Allen in the fourth round of the draft. Perhaps the Ravens will continue this pipeline again?
