Week One Early Games Thread

The don't play until 4:25, but there's still some NFL action for you to follow until then.

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

Indianapolis Colts @ Buffalo Bills

Viewing Info: 1:00 p.m. on CBS

Spread: Colts by 2.5

Over/Under: 45

Who Should You Root For: Buffalo. The more games the Colts lose, the less likely it is that they'll host a playoff game. And if Tyrod Taylor lights it up for Buffalo, the Ravens could get some compensation

Prediction: The Bills defense fights heroically and the Bills rushing attack almost gets the win, but Andrew Luck leads a last-minute drive to win the game. Colts 27-24

Cleveland Browns @ New York Jets

Viewing Info: 1:00 p.m. on CBS

Spread: Jets by 3

Over/Under: 40

Who Should You Root For: Jets. Always root against the division

Prediction: The Jets defense smothers Cleveland's offense and a relatively prolific Jets offense gets the job done. Jets 17-6

Carolina Panthers @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Viewing Info: 1:00 p.m. on FOX

Spread: Panthers by 3

Over/Under: 41

Who Should You Root For: Pick. The outcome of this game has no effect on the Ravens.

Prediction: The Jaguars and Panthers trade the lead, until Cam Newton hits Greg Olsen for the game winning touchdown on a scramble drill. Panthers 27-26.

Green Bay Packers @ Chicago Bears

Viewing Info: 1:00 p.m. on FOX

Spread: Packers by 7

Over/Under: 49

Who Should You Root For: The team that doesn't employ Jay Cutler.

Prediction: Jay Cutler fails as he usually does against Green Bay, throwing four interceptions to Packers defensive backs, one of them going for a touchdown. Aaron Rodgers shows that he doesn't need Jordy Nelson to put up big numbers and Eddie Lacy runs over the Bears defense. Packers 45-17.

Viewing Info: 1:00 p.m. on CBS

Spread: Texans by 1

Over/Under: 41

Who Should You Root For: Whichever team you think has the least chance of making the playoffs.

Prediction: The Chiefs best offensive weapon leads Kansas City to victory, while an Arian Foster-less Texans can't keep up. Chiefs 30-13

Miami Dolphins @ Washington Redskins

Viewing Info: 1:00 p.m. on CBS

Spread: Dolphins by 3

Over/Under: 43.5

Who Should You Root For: Redskins. The Dolphins are a threat to make the playoffs.

Prediction: The talented Dolphins offense overwhelms a mediocre Redskins defense. As for the Dolphins defense, Cameron Wake, Olivier Vernon, and Ndamukong Suh? Let's have a moment of silence for Kirk Cousins. Dolphins 35-0.

Seattle Seahawks @ St. Louis Rams

Viewing Info: 1:00 p.m. on FOX

Spread: Seahawks by 4

Over/Under: 40.5

Who Should You Root For: Pick.

Prediction: Even without Kam Chancellor, the Seahawks defense should have no issues handling a Rams offense missing their two best players in Tre Mason and Todd Gurley. The Legion of Boom should be able to take one of Nick Foles' passes back to the house and Russell Wilson should be able to hit new targets Jimmy Graham and Tyler Lockett while running for his life. Seahawks 21-6
