Our good friends at the Purple Reign Show took the time to ask a lot of the media some of the predictions they had for the NFL and for the Ravens. I was graciously asked as well, which led me to come up with the following:
"Crockett Gillmore finishes the season with more catches and yards than Maxx Williams" -Matthew Stevens, Baltimore Beatdown
It is interesting to see what the rest of Ravens media thought about the season and the players on the roster. Below is a list of some of the predictions to get thrown out.
"Joe Flacco will finally go to a Pro Bowl" - Brett Hollander, WBAL 1090AM
"CJ Mosley will push for defensive player of the year.....only to be edged out by J.J. Watt" -Samuel Njoku, CBS Baltimore
"Joe Flacco throws for 4,000 yards and 30 touchdowns in Marc Trestman's offense" - Joe Serpico, The Baltimore Wire
"Crockett Gillmore finishes the season with more catches and yards than Maxx Williams" -Matthew Stevens, Baltimore Beatdown
"2015 will be Terrell Suggs' final season here in Baltimore. By his choice. " - Luke Jones, WNST
Breshad Perriman will not reach 50 catches in his rookie season" - Kris "Goob" Jones
Some tough takes there, but they all seem to be positive things. With Flacco getting two big nods to improving over a career best 2014 season and seeing a Pro Bowl selection. Meanwhile second-year linebacker C.J. Mosley gets recognition for an outstanding season but loses it to a deserving J.J. Watt.
Check out some of the other predictions Purple Reign Show made for this season.
Kamar Aiken will have more catches than Steve Smith Sr.
Suggs and Dumervil will combine for 30 sacks and the Ravens will finish with a top five defense.
Timmy Jernigan and Brandon Williams will make us forget about Haloti Ngata by Week Three.
Crockett Gillmore will catch ten touchdowns.
Joe Flacco will set career highs in touchdowns and yards again in 2015.
The departure of Jacoby Jones will be the biggest offseason blunder looking back at it after the season is over.
Terrence Brooks leads the Ravens defense in interceptions. Dumervil leads them in sacks. Mosley leads them in tackles. Brandon Williams leads them in funny dancing videos on Instagram (this is an official NFL stat now).
#MelvinIsland steals the nickel cornerback gig away from Kyle Arrington by mid-season.
Neither Taliaferro or Allen will have more than 50 carries.
Maxx Williams and I will be best friends by the end of the season.
