Following this unnecessary tackle, a brawl erupted from the players on the field.

After the catch, wide receiver Kamar Aiken was lifted into the air and driven down on his head by Redskins linebacker Keenan Robinson, starting a pile up for the ball that subsequently fell from Aiken's hands.
Protecting his fellow players and always looking for a fight, wide receiver Steve Smith engaged with Redskins cornerback Chris Culliver. Fists started flying and you have yourself an ejection. The ejection happened with less than a minute left in the first quarter. Smith had already caught four passes for 95-yards and a 63-yard touchdown.
Following the ejection, Smith left the field to a loud cheer.
