The Ravens have two of the top guards in the NFL according to Pro Football Focus. Marshal Yanda ranks second behind Evan Mathis and Kelechi Osemele rounds out of the top 5 ranked offensive guards.

Pro Football Focus has gained a reputation around the league as being a fair, unbiased look at players and teams. That makes their rankings of each position a truly unique one as it really only boils down to the plays on the field. Everyone knows that Marshal Yanda is one of the best offensive linemen in the entire league and PFF confirms that with a 91.1 ranking. The Ravens also have a young, up and coming guard in Kelechi Osemele as he ranks fifth for the offensive guards with a rating of 87.6.

We saw it last season as the Ravens had the best offensive line in the league. Leading the way for journeyman rusher Justin Forsett to have a 5.4 yard per carry average and Joe Flacco to be sacked only 19 times. It led to both Forsett and Flacco having career years with the Ravens and coming close to beating the Patriots in New England for the chance at going to the AFC Championship game and eventually the Super Bowl.

According to PFF's own system, Yanda is a Superstar player while Osemele is working his way into an All-Star rating. We've discussed it before, but the Ravens would be smart to sign both Yanda and Osemele to longer term deals and continue with one of the best interior offensive lines in the league.
