Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs and QB Matt Schaub continue to become acquainted with each other. Yet it seems like Schaub might just be the 'whipping boy' for Suggs.
Last week, the fiesty linebacker fired off some pretty savage insults at Schaub. "Your guys are the guys in purple", said Suggs after an errant Schaub throw.
This weekend, the epic trash-talking continued. Per ESPN's Jamison Hensley, Suggs didn't back down. "Everything up until the throw looked really good.", hollered Suggs after a Schaub pass that sailed out of bounds. Later in the day, Suggs refused to give Schaub credit for a good throw, saying "A broken clock is right twice a day," after a Schaub touchdown pass to DeAndre Carter.
Schaub isn't the only quarterback on the Ravens roster that's a victim of 'Suggs shenanigans'. Bryn Renner, who was the hero of Thursday night's preseason game, received the 'water bottle shower' from Suggs during a postgame interview.
I can't tell if Bryn is angry, or flattered.
Suggs & Schaub surely have an interesting relationship dynamic, but it works for them. The two are seemingly akin to an older married couple, Suggs being the one spouting off passive aggressive insults, and Schaub taking it in stride. But at the end of the day, they're still friends it seems.
