The Ravens Fan's Guide To Drafting A Fantasy Team

To prepare you for greatness, hon.

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

The Baltimore Ravens aren't known for their fantasy football prowess. The reason for that isn't because they're a bad team - on the contrary - it's because the Ravens focus on winning football games, not fantasy championships. The offense is balanced and unpredictable, but not to worry, there's still some gold in them hills. Here are some highlights:

RAVENS PLAYERS I LIKE:

Crockett Gillmore - I fully expect ol' crockey to have a breakout season. He's shown good hands and route running during training camp and will assume the role of the Ravens fantasy TE superstars before him. A lot of people think Maxx Williams will get the nod here, but I think that's a little premature. We like to give our rookie tight ends some time to cook before giving them the starting gig (see: Dennis Pitta, Ed Dickson, Todd Heap, and - well - Crockett Gilmore). Chances are you'll be able to snag him late without anyone noticing.

Steve Smith - This one was fairly obvious. Steve is not only an explosive playmaker and Flacco's favorite target, he's entering his final season in the NFL. Expect more "blood and guts" this season.

Justin Forsett - I love me some Forsett. Say what you will about Marc Trestman's love of aerial assaults, we still have a beastly offensive line and one of the best running backs in the NFL. Justin will get his touches and you'll get your touchdowns.

Justin Tucker - Duh and duh.

AFC NORTH PLAYERS I WILL ALLOW YOU TO DRAFT

Jeremy Hill - Elusive back with a good defense that knows how to keep the score low and the ball in the hands of the offense. Beware of Giovanni Bernard stealing some touches on passing downs.

A.J. Green - I wouldn't put all your eggs in this beat up basket, but there's no denying AJ's talent. You'll get some downs, but you'll also get some major ups.

Dwayne Bowe - For a late round pick, why not take a flyer on Bowe? The Browns RB situation is a dumpster fire filled with week old beef. You better believe they're going to be throwing this year.

AFC NORTH PLAYERS YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DRAFT

Antonio Brown - NO. I DON'T CARE HOW GOOD HE IS. NO.

Le'Veon Bell - ALSO NO. SHUT UP. NO.

Martavis Bryant - STOP IT. THE ARTICLE IS FINISHED AND MY WORD IS FINAL.
