Ravens' Pro Bowl running back Justin Forsett is preparing for a big season this year. Starting out with training in California at his former college and with quarterback Derek Carr, Forsett looks noticeably more muscular than last season, despite being around the same weight.
Just being smarter, and for the scheming stuff, I’ve been doing this zone-blocking scheme for about six years now. I just want to make sure I’m making the right cuts and that I’m not missing anything on the field. On the run scheme, I look back at film, and there are some things I could have done better last year, and I want to improve upon that."
Many analysts and fans expect that Forsett will see additional carries and passes thrown his way this season under new offensive coordinator Marc Trestman. Forsett himself even seems to feel like he'll be seeing more passes as he spend this offseason focusing on his route running and catching the ball.
As far as me personally, some more route running [could be in store]. This last time off that we had, getting together with [a] quarterback, I was out in California training, so I spent some time out there just sharpening up my route skills. And if my number is called, I’ll be ready for it.
Bigger, stronger, faster. That was the goal. I wanted to go in, be stronger, be faster, be quicker [and] just take my game to the next level.
Part of the next level for Forsett was not only his physical side, but the mental aspect of a grueling 16 game season plus the postseason and improving on that front as well

Like most of the Ravens' veterans, there is a feeling that this team could be something great. Between the offense having some additional weapons and the defense coming back at full strength, the Ravens' players all have an aura around them that exudes a 'Super Bowl or bust' mentality.
The sky is the limit for us. We know we have the pieces, now we just got to put in the work and go out there and do our job.
With all of the Ravens looking to take care of their jobs and grow on what they did last season, us fans could be in a good spot come February.
