The Raven, The Seahawk & The Kuechly

This is a story of Fantasy, Kuechly, Focus and a rivalry between brothers.

(Spoiler alert for those who didn't watch Focus, the movie)

My brother asked me what was my strategy following the Kuechly pick (he was in his team last year), so here it is. A post with a little bit of humor, a little bit of fantasy football and all of my brother's tears in his birthday (today, July 29th).

In the #55 bet, what did Will do? In order to induce Lyiuan Ze's pick, he sent subtle hints to carve the number 55 in his mind, like images, the music, decoration etc. So, what did I do? I did exactly the opposite. I didn't even MENTION Kuechly. Not even a single time, ever since I thought "I'll draft him high", months ago. A MONTHS LONG STRATEGY.

I knew he was high in your board due to his great performance last season, so I had to do something about it. Sometimes I was about to send you an article, but I didn't because it mentioned Kuechly. When they published an article about him in B/R's homepage, for example, I'd talk about soccer or work to make you think about something other than the NFL (this way, you wouldn't look for NFL content). But when something regarding other top players was published, I was all like "did you read that about Graham? High expectations". Taking your FOCUS away from Kuechly. There was this time, I sent a list that mentioned some of the top players entering 2015, I even deleted Luke from it so it in order to keep him away from your memories. Unfortunately, I couldn't take him out of the league's free Big Board... it would be too much hahah A MONTHS LONG PLAN.

And, with it, I guaranteed the ultimate pick - the one I've been smoothly mentioning in between talks - in the 4th round and achieved the ultimate DL-LB-DB triumvirate of squad leaders in IDP fantasy football's history: Watt to Kuechly to Jones (Byron, yes. I'm expecting at least 16 picks in the preseason alone).

Now you watch, hopeless, kuechless and margotless, as my fearless squad tramples over the competition, one by one, from the hands and feet of Forsett, Lynch, Breshad, Jernigan & crew, leading to the second title and solidifying my dinasty (well, you can always think "at least the trophy stays at home"). I still hope to see you in the finals again.

You're regular season Eli to my Peyton. You're playoffs Peyton to my Eli. You're Richarlyson to my Alecsandro. You're Lincoln to my Michael. You're Akuma to my Gouken. You're Sasuke to my Itachi. You're Jon to my Chandler. You're Salvador to my Cosmo. You're Allan, my brother, so WITNESS ME, BROTHER!!!!

Parabéns, Lanza Lanza! I considered giving you Kuechly as a gift, but no. Maybe Buster Skrine. Or Alshon.

Buster Skrine.
