In what marks either Johnny Manziel's maturity or another in his long line of public relations stunts, Manziel is finally dropping his ridiculous money finger sign.
Johnny Manziel said his trademark sign is no more. He thinks it's time to close that chapter of his life.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) June 17, 2015
He was known for it during his college days at Texas A&M and he did it when he was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft. It will be both missed and gladly forgotten as Manziel looks to shed his bad boy label.
His fans will use this as another stepping stone towards his public maturity, after his stint in rehab and press time about how he is a different man now. His detractors will mention this as yet another publicity stunt for Manziel where he talks about his metamorphosis into a 'good guy' instead of letting his actions do the talking for him.
Either way, the Ravens won't be seeing it even if Manziel becomes the starting quarterback for Cleveland. They have no plans on letting him play well enough to use it.
