The Ravens finished the 2015 NFL draft in good form. A stacked roster that will need to be trimmed down to the best of the best. We knew who the Ravens were going to be playing, but we didn't know the exact dates and times until now.
WEEK 1 - New Orleans Saints - August 13 / 7:30PM
WEEK 2 - At Philadelphia Eagles - August 22 / 7:00PM
WEEK 3 - Washington Redskins - August 29 / 7:30PM
WEEK 4 - At Atlanta Flacons - September 3 / 7:00PM
The Ravens will get a good test this preseason against some solid teams and will get to have their young players get used to a regular schedule again.
New Orleans might be undergoing a rebuilding period, but you can be sure that they will be full of young players looking to take the opportunity given to them fully and will be well coached overall. Philadelphia will be a hostile crowd even in preseason and the Ravens will get their first taste of a unique offense that was among one of the league's best last season. Week three sees them face off against their beltway rival, the Washington Redskins. It should be a packed house since the teams are so close to one another and it will be the young players' biggest game with the most time on the field. Lastly, the Ravens will travel down to the Falcons for their first real taste of regular season as teams typically leave their starters in longer to get them more used to the tempo of the game again.
The Ravens will be featuring a new offense themselves as new offensive coordinator Marc Trestman came over from his head coaching job in Chicago to take over the offense for Baltimore after last year's OC Gary Kubiak left for Denver. A career year for quarterback Joe Flacco and for the entire offense, Trestman will be able to showcase a little of what we should expect from the offense come the regular season.
All of this leads up to the season opener in Denver mid-afternoon Sunday September 13th at 4:25PM. For the rest of the regular season schedule, check out our post covering it here.
