Campanaro, a 2014 7th round selection was competing, primarily against Kamar Aiken and Marlon Brown for a spot in the wide receiver rotation, possibly as high as #3. This is a setback for the Wake Forest grad, but hopefully he will not be out long. Campanaro was also competing for the primary punt return and kick return jobs. Other possibilities for those duties are cornerback Asa Jackson, and UDFA WR DeAndre Carter.
Camparnaro is a Maryland native and fan favorite, so hopefully this injury doesn't keep him out for more than a day or two.
