Looking at every snap, Joe Flacco is under the NFL average for pressure with 33.2% of the time he dropped back, he faced some type of pressure from the defense. As we've all known for a while now, when under pressure, Joe Flacco isn't exactly the best quarterback in the game with a -2.9 grade. Some of this could be attributed to his receivers lacking the ability to get open when Flacco is under pressure like Ben Roethlisberger gets pretty regularly, but the stat is what it is.

However, when Flacco has a clean pocket, he is one of the best in the league with a ranking of 14.3, above other quarterbacks like Eli Manning, Andrew Luck, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. Luckily for Flacco, the Ravens had one of the best offensive lines in the league last year. While quarterbacks like Peyton Manning and Andy Dalton had great protection, neither fared very well overall, with both ranked below Flacco in both pressure and non-pressure situations.
