With the 136th overall pick, the Baltimore Ravens have selected cornerback Tray Walker out of Texas Southern.
Walker is 6'2" and 180 pounds. He ran a 4.42 at the NFL Combine.
Walker played physical at the line of scrimmage, preventing receivers from getting into their routes. He possesses good ball skills, he attacks the ball at the high point, and has good hands to intercept passes with. He also plays well against the run. With his size he can be a very good press corner.
Walker is a raw prospect, so he won't be able to contribute right away, but with Lardarius Webb, Jimmy Smith, and Rashaan Melvin in front of him he will have time to develop his technique. Also he has limited speed, so he'll need safety help when dealing with speedy receivers.
The Ravens met with Walker before the draft and they were one of a good number of teams who were interested in him.
The Ravens have invested three of their last four picks on defense.
