2015 NFL Draft: Ravens Select Javorius Allen

With the 125th overall pick, the Ravens have drafted Javorius Allen from USC

With the 125th overall pick the Baltimore Ravens have selected Running-back Javorius "Buck" Allen from USC

At 6'0" and 221 pounds, Allen should be a force in the Ravens backfield.

Allen has the patience to wait for holes to develop, an excellent trait to have in the Ravens zone-blocking scheme and he also has deceptive speed to pick up big yardage in the open field. But he also possesses the leg strength to pick up the tough yards inside.

Allen possesses soft hands and is a physical pass blocker who is willing to keep working on it, two skills that will make him useful in Marc Trestman's offense, considering how much he used Matt Forte in the passing game at Chicago.

Allen met with the Ravens at the NFL Combine.

Allen played in a pro-style offense at USC, which should help him with the transition to the NFL, but he doesn't need to play right away with Justin Forsett and Lorenzo Taliaferro on hand.
