Terrell Suggs was ranked 26th overall in the NFL's top 100 players for 2014. However, the NFL apparently feels like Suggs is either getting too old or that he just plain sucks because they ranked him all the way up at number 84.
This isn't the first slight for the Ravens on this list. Earlier, quarterback Joe Flacco was ranked 97th overall. A slide downwards of 39 spots despite his best career year that saw him hit just under 4,000 yards and 30 touchdowns. Flacco was able to beat the record for most touchdowns thrown in a single half... that apparently isn't worthy of a higher ranking according to the NFL.
Terrell Suggs appears after players like Darren Sproles, Maurkice Pouncey and just above Golden Tate. A crime in it's own regard given that Suggs had one of his best seasons in 2014 with 12 sacks and 61 tackles on a top ranked Ravens' defense. Abusing quarterbacks all season long and making tackles in the run game is worthy of a major drop. Even the NFL video accompanying the list made note of how the drop makes no sense.
Maybe this list was done by the Steelers or something?
