Jason Butt has officially stepped down as the editor and leader of Baltimore Beatdown and will be heading off to greener pastures with

Due to Jason's departure, I am pleased and excited to announce that I am stepping in as the new editor and leader of Baltimore Beatdown. You already know a good deal about me since I've been a member of the community for years and have been writing regularly here for the last year.

I hope to take this site in a similar but more consistent direction than what it has been in the past. I, along with the team that I have been creating here for some time, will be trying to bring in-depth stories and analysis to the site as well as getting more access to the Ravens so that we can hopefully get you all the up to the minute news and rumors before you hear them anywhere else. In addition to that, we are going to try and create an engaging website that welcomes all types of fans into the fold and maybe teaches everyone a little something about the intricacies of the game we love so much.

I hope that you'll continue to support Baltimore Beatdown and our staff here by reading what we have to write and contributing to the discussion in the comments. Let's bring home another trophy this season and show the rest of SB Nation what we already know... That the Ravens are easily the best team with the best fans in the league!
