C.J. Mosley, the Ravens first round selection in the 2014 NFL Draft and Pro Bowl linebacker, had offseason surgery on his wrist. He is expected to make a complete recovery but was also expected to fully participate in offseason workouts, but sadly, it appears that he is limited so far in the weight room.
Ravens great Ray Lewis threw praise at the young protege last season as Mosley finished second to St. Louis Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald in the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award.
C.J. understands what the linebacker position is about. Forget mistakes; the kid just finds the football. He has a great knack. He makes the game simple. He was a ball hawk in college, and he's picking up where he left off.
The second year player had the most defensive snaps of any defensive player last season with 1,080. He was able to make 133 tackles, 3 sacks, 2 interceptions and a forced fumble and fumble recovery during his whirlwind rookie campaign.
Even though Mosley is limited right now, he has said that he will be on the field and is expected to make a full recovery. I'm sure I can speak for all Ravens fans when I say that we hope he gets healthy quick and truly gets back to 100%.
