Report: Scott Chandler down to Ravens and Patriots

The Ravens need a tight end with Owen Daniels gone and Scott Chandler could be a solid replacement.

The moment he was released, speculation turned to the Ravens being interested in tight end Scott Chandler.

Now, that appears to be a reality. According to NBC Washington's Diana Russin, Chandler will sign with either the Ravens or Patriots.

Chandler caught 47 passes for 497 yards and three touchdowns in 2014. To compare, Daniels caught 48 passes for 527 yards and four touchdowns. So statistically, they're quite similar to where this would be a solid replacement. It's just a matter of getting him at the right price.

But with it coming down to two teams that historically don't overpay for players, you have to like the Ravens chances in getting a fair deal if they can strike one.
