Ravens getting 33/1 odds to win Super Bowl 50

The Ravens aren't among the top teams considered by Bovada to win next year's Super Bowl.

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

The Ravens ended the 2014 season among the final eight teams, having advanced to the Divisional Round of the playoffs. However, that apparently wasn't enough for the folks at Bovada when it comes to putting together the earliest possible odds for next season's Super Bowl.

According to the website, the Ravens have been given 33/1 odds on winning the Super Bowl next season. This puts the Ravens in a tie for 11th place, along with the Cardinals and the Lions. The Eagles (20/1), 49ers (20/1), Saints (22/1) and Steelers (25/1) were all ranked ahead of the Ravens, which is rather surprising. Philadelphia, San Francisco and New Orleans all failed to reach the playoffs this past season and the Ravens beat Pittsburgh two of the three times they played this year.

On top of that, the only two free-agent concerns for the Ravens are Torrey Smith and Pernell McPhee. McPhee is probably as good as gone but Smith is a candidate to come back. You'd think the Ravens would be given greater odds, especially with the way they played in the two playoff games last month.

But for those taking the positive approach with this, it could be time to go to Vegas and put some money down.
