In previous mock drafts, the Ravens have been linked to Michigan receiver Devin Funchess and Missouri (sort of) Oklahoma receiver Dorial Green-Beckham.
In SB Nation analyst Dan Kadar's latest mock, he has the Ravens taking a different receiver.
This time, it's Arizona State's Jaelen Strong, a 6-feet-3, 212-pound receiver that has big-play ability. Here's why Kadar has the Ravens taking Strong.
"Torrey Smith can leave Baltimore in free agency and Steve Smith is near the end of his career. Strong is the type of vertical receiver Joe Flacco would love."
Strong, like Funchess and Green-Beckham, fits the mold of the kind of receiver Baltimore has never had — except that he catches the ball much more consistently than Funchess and has no off-field baggage like Green-Beckham. Strong is seemingly much more of a fit for this franchise in every way.
In 2014 for the Sun Devils, Strong caught 82 passes for 1,165 yards and 10 touchdowns. He'd be a great addition to this offense if selected by Baltimore.
