The Baltimore Ravens are great at a few things, but the one they absolutely excel at is receiving compensatory draft selections from losing key free agents year in and year out. And by 2017 they can become firepower in the draft.
There was talk this season of trade-able comp picks, and the proposal has now passed.

This means the Baltimore Ravens & all other NFL teams can now trade those comp picks to other squads. Maybe a big bonus for the Ravens as they might trade up more frequently with the extra picks at disposal.
The reason this is so big for the Baltimore Ravens is they lead the NFL in total comp picks since 2002.

Blatantly obvious the Baltimore Ravens have a huge adavantage as they possessed 13 more than the second place. Ravens can achieve some serious help in the draft from 2017 on.
