With the newest Star Wars movie set to come out Thursday, artist John Raya reinvented the NFL's helmets in the theme of the Star Wars universe. All 32 teams are represented, but the Baltimore Ravens helmet has to be one of the best.
It's the small attention to details that make this work so impressive. From the writing on the chin strap to the empire crest there as well, it really does make it seem like this would be a real football league and team. The design for the "Mygeeto Siths" is on point as well. Nice use of the Baltimore Ravens' purple, black, gold and white helps Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious pop off the helmet properly and really comes alive.
Though I'm not too sure how I feel about being the Siths. They weren't really the good guys in any way and the image of Palpatine/Sidious as the logo doesn't do the team any favors. For those of you living under a rock, Darth Sidious was the man that turned Anakin Skywalker into Darth Vader and was the force of evil throughout all six of the current movies. He's the baddest of bad guys and not exactly someone that you'd want to represent your team.
Maybe John Raya is a Steelers fan...
