Baltimore Ravens vs Pittsburgh Steelers week 16 game officially flexed to 1pm

We mentioned yesterday that a New York Giants win over the Miami Dolphins would be the end of the Ravens in prime time games this season. The Giants were able to pull out a 31-24 win against the Dolphins, flexing the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers matchup out of Sunday Night Football and into a 1pm time slot.

The ability to flex games out of national media exposure and instead put in games that mean more to the playoff race or would even be more entertaining is a good thing. While it doesn't help the Ravens here, few people could make a meaningful argument that the Ravens deserve the spot given the beating they took at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. Simply put, the Ravens are bad this season and a game between the Steelers and Ravens, while almost always a great game, just doesn't factor into a close playoff race that far into the season.

On a positive note, the game does go back to it's regular time, which for people in the coverage area is a pleasant thing. For those Ravens fans in other states or even countries, flexing the game kind of screws you sadly.

How do you feel about the switch?
