2015 NFL Trade Deadline: Browns have steep asking price for trades

Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Browns have been reported to be shopping pretty much every player they have on their roster. The main names have been linebacker Barkevious Mingo, center Alex Mack, former Ravens linebacker Paul Kruger, and left tackle Joe Thomas. now it's being reported that the Browns want far too much in exchange for these players, making it pretty unlikely that any of those players wear another jersey in the coming weeks.

The Ravens could be interested in Barkevius Mingo or even Kruger as they need help setting the edge and getting after the quarterback. The thing that would stop Kruger from coming back to Baltimore would be his contract, which the Ravens couldn't match when he left for Cleveland following the 2012 season. Mingo is an interesting prospect, as he is in his third season after being drafted in the first round, 6th overall, by the Browns in the 2013 NFL Draft.

However, the main issue that has followed Mingo through his career has been injury and lackluster play. In 40 possible games, Mingo has started only 16. He also only has 7 sacks so far into his career, something that few teams would be willing to pay a 3rd round pick for. If Cleveland comes down on their asking price, Mingo might benefit from a bit of new scenery and could play up to the potential that saw him a high first-round pick in the first place.

It is doubtful that Cleveland would be willing to trade any player to a division rival in the first place, but we've seen weirder things happen. Cleveland is clearly looking to shed some players in an effort to get younger and make the team into a better all around roster, so they might be indifferent to a trade to the Ravens.
