Matt Schaub and rookie Buck Allen are headlining a Raven offense that has been holding on for life all season long, even with Joe Flacco at the helm. So how will they perform without their number one quarterback, receiver, and running back?
On the opposing side, how will the Browns, current owners of the number one pick and somehow worse than the Ravens, rebound from yet another bout of quarterback controversy?
I certainly don't have the answers to these questions, and I don't really think anyone does. Picking the winner of this one is about the equivalent of a coin toss. Us here at the Beatdown aren't so optimistic about our team this week, and it doesn't look like the national media is either. Let's take a look at just what the analysts are saying about Monday night's contest.
Baltimore Beatdown
Four out of five staff writers pick the Browns to win.
CBS
Seven of eight writers have the Browns winning.
ESPN
Both team beat writers have the Browns coming out on top.
Around The NFL
All five members selected the Browns to win.
USA Today Sports
Six of seven say the Browns will win.
Sports Illustrated
The publication says the Browns are winning this one.
So the experts are overwhelmingly picking the Cleveland squad to win this one. These two teams have split their last four meetings, so there's no telling who is going to win this one. All I'm getting from this is that the Ravens have a chance, albeit a small one.
