Joe Flacco isn't your average quarterback. He's a tough guy, and one who has never missed a game in his NFL career.
After tearing his ACL, perhaps MCL, and his meniscus in the closing moments of the fourth quarter, the crippled Flacco still stayed in the game for an astonishing three plays. After rolling over his offensive lineman awkwardly, Flacco sauntered back to the line of scrimmage, and still managed to get off two plays that would seal the game for the Ravens.

Flacco was in an immense amount of pain. According to LT James Hurst, who was involved in the play, Flacco reportedly "screamed" because of the pain he endured.
So why exactly did Flacco rush back so quickly instead of going down?
He wanted to win. Nothing more, nothing less.
After the game, Flacco told reporters that he opted to stay in because he simply wanted to win and "didn't want to mess up the clock management."
Now that's a testament to his toughness and willingness to win.
