He's got that sock game on lock down, even if he can't stay locked down with a team this season. Cornerback Charles James found his way onto the Ravens active roster for a whopping four days before the Ravens cut him and activated their fourth runningback. Now he's with the Houston Texans where he was a fan favorite for his time on the Hard Knocks program.

Now you might be questioning the move given that the Ravens are not exactly deep at the cornerback position heading into the game against the San Francisco 49ers. You might question it even more given that cornerback Lardarius Webb ended up missing the game due to a thigh injury and the Ravens were forced to start cornerback Shareece Wright, who had only been with the team for four days by that point. Instead, the Ravens were able to start running back Justin Forsett, Javorius Allen, Akeem Hunt, and Terrence Magee all against the 49ers. Wright would give up two touchdowns, one to Torrey Smith and another to Quinton Pointer, while Hunt and Magee would fail to record even a single snap.
While not the most gifted corner in the league, James did perform well for the Texans and looked to be a good fit on the practice squad for them. However, with the injuries and inconsistent play from the Ravens secondary, James was expected to play some meaningful snaps on Sunday before he was let go.
Good luck to James over in Houston. Hopefully, we'll see him bounce back on the waivers where the Ravens can snatch him back up. I'd love to see what he can do.
