(5-0) Atlanta Falcons @ (1-4) New Orleans Saints
Where to Watch: 8:25 on NFLN/CBS
Spread: Falcons by 3.5
Over/Under: 51.5
Preview: The Falcons have started the Dan Quinn era off right, with a 5-0 start that puts them in command of the NFC West and in good position to make a move for the NFC title or at least home field advantage. The Falcons have rediscovered their run game, with second year runningback Devonta Freeman leading the team with 405 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. As always, the Falcons have a prolific passing attack, led by star receiver Julio Jones with 43 receptions for 545 yards and four touchdowns. Teaming up with Jones is free agent addition Leonard Hankerson with 18 receptions for 254 yards and two touchdowns, running back Devonta Freeman with 24 receptions for 240 yards, and tight end Jacob Tamme with 16 receptions for 198 yards.
The Saints have not had the same success that the Falcons have had with an offense that is weaker than the Saints offenses that we're used to seeing and a defense that is still bad. Mark Ingram is the Saints leading rusher with 261 yards and two touchdowns. Willie Snead is the Saints leading receiver with 22 receptions for 381 yards and one touchdown. Second year receiver Brandin Cooks is right behind him with 25 receptions for 322 yards and one touchdown.
Prediction: The Falcons continue their rise with a big win over a Saints team going in the opposite direction. Falcons 38-10.
