The Ravens have had some contributors on offense for the past few weeks as the run game and offensive line start to return to their 2014 form. Unfortunately, the defense is not keeping up as the Ravens are sitting at 1-4, the lowest point in the franchise's 20 year history.
Risers:
Kamar Aiken
Aiken has fared pretty well in the last two weeks, with nine receptions for 153 yards and a touchdown coming in those two games. While he might not be a bonafide number one receiver, he's at least proving that he's worthy of keeping his job.
Justin Forsett
Forsett followed up his 100 yard game in Pittsburgh with another one yesterday. He ran 21 times for 122 yards and a touchdown. He also had four receptions for 49 yards. Hopefully his injury won't keep him out of Week Six.
Eugene Monroe
Monroe provided a good relief for the Ravens offense, as his dominant play was a welcome change from James Hursts' constant struggling. Hopefully he continues his dominant play in the later weeks.
Javorius Allen
Allen had 58 yards on eight carries and looks to be in line for a bigger role with Lorenzo Taliaferro injured and Justin Forsett day-to-day.
Jeremy Ross
Ross impressed as a returner, averaging 27.2 yards per return with a long of 46. He also had two receptions.
Fallers:
Marlon Brown
Brown was ranked as the 89th worst receiver by PFF in Week Five. He has also failed to score a touchdown for the 23rd straight game. He continues to look like a one-year wonder.
Courtney Upshaw
Upshaw continues to be the worst outside linebacker in the NFL, something that isn't helping his free agent campaign.
Kendrick Lewis
Lewis continues to struggle in all areas of the game.
Timmy Jernigan
In a season where he was expected to become a household name and dominant defensive lineman, Jernigan has failed to even take a starting job on the defense.
Pretty much anyone in the secondary
457 yards... Nuff said.
Hopefully the Ravens run game and offensive line continues to improve and Jeremy Ross gives the Ravens quality field position with his returns. Hopefully the defense also improves and the Ravens start winning some more games.
