In a statistic that surprises no one, the Elias Sports Bureau reports that no quarterback has ever won when making his first start of the season on a Thursday night. Of course, Thursday night games are a newer thing, so the list is not so long.
Here is the list of quarterbacks who made their season debut on a Thursday night:

Not exactly a murderers row. More like a list of never-beens (as opposed to has-beens). The only player on this list with any degree of success is Derek Anderson, and even he has never led a team to the playoffs. Vick should be head and shoulders above the names on this list, a who's who of career clipboard holders.
