Can Vick be the 1st tonight against the Ravens?

No quarterback has ever won when making his first start of the season on a Thursday night...

Jason Bridge-USA TODAY Sports

In a statistic that surprises no one, the Elias Sports Bureau reports that no quarterback has ever won when making his first start of the season on a Thursday night. Of course, Thursday night games are a newer thing, so the list is not so long.

Here is the list of quarterbacks who made their season debut on a Thursday night:

Not exactly a murderers row. More like a list of never-beens (as opposed to has-beens). The only player on this list with any degree of success is Derek Anderson, and even he has never led a team to the playoffs. Vick should be head and shoulders above the names on this list, a who's who of career clipboard holders.

Can Vick become the first? This Steelers team is not going to go down quietly!
