Here's a look back at the Conference Championship predictions:
Seattle Seahawks vs. Green Bay Packers
Prediction: The Seahawks superior defense would stop the Packers, while Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson would frustrate the Packers defense.
What Happened: Russell Wilson had a horrific 3 quarters, but the conservative play calls of Mike McCarthy and the special teams' failures of the Packers allowed the Seahawks to come back and win in overtime.
What's Next:
For the Packers:
- Place a fist slightly above your navel.
- Grasp your fist with the other hand and bend over a hard surface — a countertop or chair will do.
- Shove your fist inward and upward, until foreign object is removed from airway.
- Fire Special Teams Coach
For the Seahawks: Fix the issues that popped up in the championship and win the Super Bowl.
New England Patriots vs. Green Bay Packers
Prediction: The Patriots would exploit Andrew Luck's slip-ups and the Colts defense would not be able to stop the Patriots.
What Happened: Deflated balls or no, the Patriots ran free on the Colts and Tom Brady threw three touchdowns, as the Colts couldn't stop the Patriots. The Colts offense couldn't get rolling as the Patriots knew to commit to stopping the pass as the Colts couldn't run.
What's Next:
For the Colts: Get a quality running back, an offensive line that can pass protect and run block, and get a quality pass rusher and some run-stuffers.
For the Patriots: Get over DeflateGate and try and win the Super Bowl.
