Mornhinweg will replace Rick Dennison, who left with new Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak. Mornhinweg now reunites with John Harbaugh after being on the same Eagles staff from 2003-2007. On that Andy Reid staff, Mornhinweg was a senior assistant (2003), assistant head coach (2004-2005) and offensive coordinator/assistant head coach (2006-2012). Harbaugh was a special teams coordinator from 1998-2007, and was the defensive backs coach in his final year in Philadelphia.
Mornhinweg was successful in Philadelphia, coaching Donovan McNabb and Michael Vick to Pro Bowl seasons. He also coached Pro Bowl quarterbacks Steve Young and Jeff Garcia in San Francisco, as well as Brett Favre in Green Bay.
The Ravens still need to hire a tight ends coach as Brian Pariani also left Baltimore to go with Kubiak to Denver.
